At Round 5 of the Formula Drift Championship, in Monroe, Wash., Ken Gushi drove his Scion FR-S (aka Subaru BRZ) into the coveted “Final Four” battle. His Scion is powered by a Cosworth-built Subaru EJ25 with a rather large Greddy turbo. Unfortunately, Rhys Millen and his turbocharged V6 Hyundai Genesis Coupe edged out Gushi for the third place win.
We assembled this clip reel so you can enjoy those sweet, sweet boxer sounds. Since it has equal-length headers, his Scion FR-S doesn’t exactly sound like a “traditional” Subaru. Maybe Gushi’s success will also inspire some BRZ owners to drop EJ257’s into their own cars.
its so weird to see that car sideways and hear a boxer when it passes by the camera
True dat Justin, you know those subies got that AWD sonnn!
lol @ Mike. It has equal length headers so it really doesn’t sound like your traditional Subaru and the FR-S/BRZ isn’t weird sideways, it belongs sideways…
Brz is rwd I thought….good finish tho!
yes the BRZ is rwd not awd.
False Dat Mike, You know that subies got RWD SON!
Go to your room!
Cosworth… yummm ^_^
Why not FA20+turbo?
